The driver’s parade was canceled because of the rain delay for the start of the KZ heat earlier on, and drivers were preparing feverishly while mechanics rushed to mount the new wets. We appreciated the courage of the girls dressed in short skirts to warm the atmosphere on the dummy grid, under a low and heavy sky. The rain was still very light. The pole sitter Max Klinkby-Silver (Birel / BMB) chose to start on the outside, Sami Luka (Energy / TM) was on the inside. 12 laps were scheduled.
Stefano Cucco (Birel / Parilla) and Gerard Barrabeig (Birel / BMB) led the first lap ahead of Luka and Victor Sendin (Tony Kart / Vortex). Silver was fifth ahead of Stepan Karasev (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Jakub Dalewski (Birel / BMB). Nicolaj Moller Madsen crossed the line far behind.
Cucco escaped, Barrabeig attacked Luka, Karasev was back with Sendin, and Enzo Guibbert (FA Kart / Vortex), who started on the 12 row was already back to 13th. Sendin passed Karasev and Klinby-Silver.
On lap 6, Luka had not been left behind by Cucco. Pascal Belmaaziz (DR / Maxter) retired. Guibbert entered the top 10 on Lsp 8. Sendin ended up fourth after giving up on Barrabeig but Rudakov was close behind. The rain intensified at the end. Stefano Cucco took a deserved victory in front of Sami Luka, Stepan Karasev and Victor Sendin. Enzo Guibbert finished 9th.
